Welcome to our humble cabin nestled in the quiet town of Gleneden Beach at the Oregon Coast. Named after our beloved “Grandma Omi“ who originally purchased the home in 1972. You will enjoy its cozy, antique charm with mid-century vibes, plus only a 2 minute walk to the most beautiful beach ever!
About Us
Rates
We ask guests to pay $75 per night to help cover our basic costs. Right now the beach house is a pet free zone, so dogs are not permitted.
Guests can pay electronically via Apple Pay or Venmo. Checks can be mailed to Chris Bixby, 4057 N Gantenbein Ave, PDX OR 97227.
Responsibilities
Guests are responsible for cleaning the cabin back to original state so it can be ready to be enjoyed by the next party coming in. Plan to bring your own bedding, pillow cases, kitchen & bath towels, plus personal products like shampoo. Garbage & recycling must leave with guests since there is no garbage service. Before leaving, clean dishes should be put away and beds made as they were found for next guests.
Eat & drink (ie, chocolate & red wine) at tables and NOT in the sofa area with rug. This is a shoe-free home, so pack those slippers!
Rooms
The cabin is very open with lots of places for adults and kids to sleep. However, it does not have traditional rooms with doors that can be closed & locked. There are 3 main sleeping areas.
Sleeping: (1) Queen Bed (1) Queen Sofa Bed (1) Full Sofa Bed and (2) Twin Beds. There is also a single cot and 2 foam pads that can be used to create more sleeping areas. Cabin has 2 showers (1 currently working), 2 toilets and 1 bathtub.
Amenities
The house has WiFi, one TV in the living room and an Apple TV to stream popular apps, like Netflix. There may be iTune charges if movies or shows are rented. Kitchen has microwave, gas stove, fridge, coffee maker, french press, toaster and basic condiments & equipment for cooking. There is no dishwasher or laundry facility.
There are many pillows and antique, wool blankets at the house to be enjoyed, but we ask they not be brought down to the beach.
